I've decided to sell the best daily driver that I've ever had. I say that not just because I'm trying to sell my car but because it truly is and I've had over 30 cars in my adult life. I'm focusing on my mobile detailing business and I need to liquidate the 228i before I can get a truck. Hard choices have to be made. So let us get right to it. Backstory: I purchased this car in Germany while I was stationed there, just before I retired. The odometer had 2700ish miles on it in June of 2015 when I bought it. Bought from Bavarian Motorworks in the Graf/Vilseck Germany area. BMW shipped it to SC in August of that year. I am the first registered owner of the car in the USA. I have all the import documents if anyone would like to see them. Arrived in the port 8/18/2015. I had to register the car with BMW NA in order to get free maintenance, which I did upon arrival to the US. BMW Columbia here in Columbia, SC performed all required maintenance while still under warranty. I have all of the documentation for this as well. Maintenance/Mod history: 9/10/2015 BMW NA acknowledges warranty letter BMW required maintenance was performed from 6800-50000 miles (documentation on hand) 11/12/15 11561 miles Oil changed BMW Columbia Activated Carbon cabin filter changed 2/16/16 21,703 miles Oil changed BMW Columbia 7/19/2016 31855 miles Oil changed BMW Columbia Activated Carbon cabin filter changed Vehicle inspection performed 11/25/2016 42230 miles Oil changed BMW Columbia Engine air filter replaced Rear bumper clipped in properly to body 6/29/2016 New tires NTB 10/25/2016 Alignment done NTB 2/17/2017 49,000ish miles aFe drop in filter 3/1/2017 49,052 miles BMS Stage 1 tune installed 3/28/2017 resonator deleted 5/13/2017 54,445 miles Oil Change Castrol Syntech 0W-40 Euro Blackstone report done on BMW Turbo oil 11-25-2017 67,077 miles New stock NGK spark plugs were installed at 12/17/2017 67,936 miles New Continental Extreme Contact Sport in 215/45R17's were installed 1/12/2018 RainX wipers installed 4/9/2018 Stoptech Sport brake pads front/rear Stoptech stainless steel brake lines Pentosin SL-6 Super Dot 4 brake fluid complete flush New brake wear sensors installed but not connected 4/13/2018 71,320 miles 6MT fluid replaced with RedLine D4 ATF Rear differential fluid replaced with Mobil 1 75W-90 full synthetic Blackstone report done on stock 6MT BMW oil 5/20/2018 Cabin Carbon air filter installed 5/23/2018 OEM exhaust mod completed 6/14/2018 windows tinted 35% 10/25/18 oil/filter change. Mobile1 0w-40 Tire rotation. Blackstone sample. The good: All maintenance records on a one owner car Paint is 8/10 normal wear and tear from 80K+ miles of daily driver duties. I will be buffing out the paint to a 9/10 in the near future and applying sealant to prepare for the winter weather. Everything electronic works as it should. No tears in the leather. No oil leaks of any kind. Sounds awesome without being muffler delete loud and annoying, no drone at all. Standard suspension (non-electronic) Shifts very smooth. OEM safety triangle and first aid kit, 2 keys, cargo trunk net, WeatherTech mats included Super clean car in and out. Non-smoker car. The bad: Missing drivers side headlight washer bumper cover. I ran into a curb and scuffed the bottom of the bumper, had it repainted at a very reputable body shop (john Harris) and they didn't reinstall the cover correctly. When I used the washers the first time it popped off at 4AM on the way to work. Normal driver seat bolster wear. Trunk struts starting to wear out. Passenger side Adaptive HID headlight sticks sporadically with an error message. Shutting the car off and turning back on relevels the headlights and clears the error. Hasn't happened in quite a while. 1 small door ding passenger side rear quarter panel that just happened the other day. The car is currently still financed through Pentagon Federal Credit Union so the buyer would have to wait for a bit for the title. I would pay for expedited processing for this. I will sign a promissory, notarized letter upon pending sale to cover the buyer's liability. I think what I'm asking is fair given the market nationwide for a car configured as it is. This is my daily driver so miles will increase. I'm willing to ship the car but at the buyer's expense. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, I wanted to make sure I was transparent in the representation of my car.
