Wheel cleaning day...
Spent the afternoon spiffing up the wheels on the Bimmer. Nothing like a good coat of sealant to minimize the amount of brake dust that sticks to everything. I wash my wheels weekly and can use auto shampoo (I mix it with water in a spray bottle.) which doesn't degrade the sealant like wheel cleaners do. Keeps things nicer, longer. I also lined up the logos on the hub caps...a pet peeve of mine.
I also took the opportunity to use anti-seize on the hub and the areas where the rotor hat and the wheels mate. These are prime places for corrosion. I bought a set of "pucks" to fit in the lifting points when I use a jack or a lift to raise the car. And as it turns out they fit nicely in the empty storage area in the boot.

I have used Rejex on all my wheels and just like you I use car wash soap to easily clean them. http://www.amazon.com/Corrosion-Tech...keywords=rejex |

Nice! Now that my wheels are off for winter I'm planning to do the same.
What lift/jack are you using there? Now that I own my house, I've been weighing lifting options, and I haven't quite justified a 2-post yet. |

Love Rejex...Makes cleaning the brake dust off a tolerable chore - ugh.

Well, the stable has been rather eclectic over the past few years. A lot of German (and English) cars have either graced, or dripped, in my garage!
Pictures of some of The Stable... Here is the main wall. Mostly Porsche-ish. (Sorry) .
