Why are only some of the M Performance Parts available in the configurator?

I've been playing around with the configurator lately, and I noticed that while it has some of the M Performance Parts, it doesn't come close to all of them.

For example, the configurator for the M235i lets you spec in the LSD but not the exhaust.

Anyone know why? Is it something to do with some parts being port-installed instead of dealer-installed?

Yeah, the exhaust is definitely a port-installed option. Can you spec in carbon fiber with the configurator? Those were also port options for me.

They have the carbon fiber mirror caps in the configurator...and that's it as far as CF.

If you shop around, you'll find those port-installed options at better prices. As an example, the black kidney grills sell for about $160/set from a BMW dealership. Try eBay too since some of the BMW Parts (dealerships) do business at discount on-line pricing.

I finally got my allocation to order my M235i!

Hmm, LSD maybe...

The grilles are a ripoff. 250 for that. I could custom wrap for 50.
