Ridiculous. I'm not sure what a reasonable timeframe is but you have far exceeded it. I'm also not sure what you've done so far nor what's available to you in ON. If it were me I'd show up and see what they say. Probably going to give you BS. Cease and desist letters with 24-48hr required response. Then nuke them. BBB, insurance commission, chamber of commerce, attorney general consumer affairs office etc. Could consult an Attorney too.

Damn, that ain't right.
Don't know how busy your schedule is, but it may be worthwhile to make the 130 Km drive to Mississauga to see what the hell is going on with your 235.

Thanks: I might do that today, but I fully expect that they won't let me in.

I see one of the questions/answers on their FAQ page is:

Q. How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?

A. Your personal contact person here at Royal Auto Collision can give you an estimate of the time it will take to complete the repairs to your vehicle. Also, you can be sure we will stay in touch with you throughout the course of the repairs so you will never be left wondering how the repairs are going.

I called the smooth talking Richard, who did not return last week's email. He was not at his desk. He hasn't returned the call. I called customer service, and reached a man, thank goodness. The last two times, the woman or women were quite nasty. This guy was cool, and said they had to install some "additionals" which were brake ducts, and that the car should be ready Friday. Just like the last three Fridays. I wish I had repaired the car myself. I called My man at Pfaff, who had taken the car for me to Royal, because I had a quick trip to China. I asked him if the car could be delivered to Pfaff, because I didn't want to meet anyone at Royal. There is also an Enterprise rental at Pfaff, so I can drop off my Nissan Rogue.

My car is back. Feels great, nice and stiff, the way I like it. One glaring error/theft/ I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Hi: I thought you might like to take a look at this. Either somebody stole the originals, or they sent some kid to wire brush the wheels and this is what ensued. And, of course, they were yelling at me - it was my fault. Royal Auto Collision, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

They look like something off an E46 or similar era car, they are not the roundels that have come on BMWs over the past number of years, the current ones have a bevelled chrome edge and larger letters:

That means it was theft. I checked the trunk, The new fly rod , and air pressure gauge were still there, no twoonies or loonies stolen, just the wheel centres. It's like the kids stealing hubcaps in the old days.
Today I changed to summer tires, and changed over the centre caps, but I would like the originals. back. I sent Richard a slightly nasty message. We'll see what happens.

I would check the employee cars there and look for an older BMW with wheel centres like the one I posted a photo of

It sounds like these guys are out and out crooks.

Their BBB profile shows that they have a pattern of this type of behavior.
It seems you were lucky and got your car back without being ripped off even further. You should file a complaint with your insurance company and demand compensation for the wheel problem. I find that mentioning changing insurance companies to get better customer service works wonders. I would not go back to Royal. Who knows whether you will get assaulted.

Thank you: I'm not about to go looking in the employee parking lot for a baffed out e46. I might be knifed. It's a rough part of town.

I’d keep an eye out for a group of raccoons with some really cool necklace jewelry.

I would go throw a dead raccoon in front of their business, Godfather style, to let them know how I felt about their service.. But's that's just me

Niki,

These folks sound like a bunch of ass clowns.

Despite the temptation of "pulling a Poochie" with Rocky Racoon infested with maggots (I really do like this idea!), in this case, I would blast these folks on every social media platform you can. People do read reviews on the internet and will get the message. In this case, the keyboard may be mightier than the sword...or a deceased racoon!

I asked him how high he wanted me to take it. I also contacted Carolyn Parrish, the local politician, who had had some dealings with Royal. If I'm not satisfied, I will definitely write many letters.

Drop an anvil on these folks, Niki.

They deserve the wrath of a BMW owner scorned!

Hello: I received an email from Richard at Royal this morning. He is offering me a set of wheel caps next time I'm at the dealer. Thank you all for your humour and assistance.

Don't leave your car unattended when you park there to pick up your wheel caps.
