Subtle Extra's!

Hi Guys! New to the forum recently sold my RX-7 and recently just bought a 220D M because my RX7 was drinking fuel

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas about any subtle interior and exterior styling just to make it a bit more sporty or unique.

If anyone has any links to cheap/reliable websites where i could get a front splitter, black kidney grilles or a spoiler lip that would be appreciated!!

I'm also interested in what everyone's 2 series looks like so leave your pics below!! Look forward to seeing what you guys have done with yours!

Welcome – and have fun improving your new car!

I'm afraid I can't help with styling improvements, but I am able to show wheel wells that are reasonably well filled-out (specifications are in my signature below the photo).

Welcome!

There is a ton you can do to these cars to add a little more style/functionality if you so choose. Check out the Photos & Videos sub-forum and you'll find plenty of ideas.

I went with the full BMW M Performance Alcantara/Carbon Fiber interior kit for mine. The only piece from the kit that is actually functional is the short shift knob. Love how it made the shifting action feel. The rest is just for show, really.

For the exterior, I added painted OEM mirror caps from IND, painted M Performance side skirts/aero blades (also from IND), and the M Performance matte black rocker panel decals.

Enjoy the new car!

Not knowing your tastes, I'd suggest you check out some nice floor mats (you can go from mild to wild in these). There are plenty of option with BMW logos, "M" motifs and others.

Also check out some seat belt shoulder strap pads. While not necessary, you add some flair to your car installing them on the front or rear shoulder straps.

CP911 - are those M Performance mats rubber or carpet? I really dig the look of those. And are they easy to keep clean?

Thanks!

Hi, they are rubber (relatively thin, but high quality..not like the thick winter mats). They show dust and footprints easily, but are very easy to keep clean and don't really show wear. Basically a quick vacuum of bigger debris and then a wipe down with a damp microfiber cloth and they look new again. I'm happy with them. Hope this helps!

Welcome to the forum.

I strongly suggest simply searching this forum or Google to find modifications that might fit your needs and price competitive online retailers.

With that said, BMW parts are pricey, even from competitive retailers.

Good place to start. I'd also suggest Lloyd mats they are about the same price as OEM and a million times nicer.

Might want to run through the cosmetic subforum for ideas. This link is where somebody did a neat job of adding colored 'stitching' to the seats (ran colored thread through the factory stitching). Time consuming, but almost free, and very nice looking.

https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show...2#post21500282 (post 684, 696, 698 of the 'what did you do to your 2 series today, if this link is for the front of the thread).

And you could always add a few ///Mblems just to hack off the M3 crowd
