Fender Bender Repair

Someone bruised the back end of my pretty car, needs a taillight and fascia and probably something more. It should be possible to repair without breaking the paint on metal so future rust protection will not be compromised (phew). Going to take it around for estimates. What do I look for in a body shop. Will go to two dealers and two independent body shops in Southeast Michigan.

A good shop will have good cars. And in my experience a good shop is well lit and clean.
If you had structural damage I’d probably recommend a shop dedicated to BMW ( could also be other higher end car brands )

FWIW, BMW has what it refers to as Certified Collision Repair Centers. More here (although it doesn't direct you to any of those centers): https://bmwusaservice.com/ccrc.

Look for BMW certification. IMHO, no need to go anywhere else but here.

I bought this car at Erhard. Lucky for me you are in the neighborhood, and by coincidence we have the same color and model. At 40,000 miles I still love this car.

Do you go by the area of 13 Mile near Haggerty/M5 much? If so, we've seen/waved at each other when I passed there. If not, there's yet another Valencia 2 around here.
