Cost for 1200 mile service?
What is the typical cost for a 1200 mile service and what should be included on an M240i with a manual transmission? Because it's not "included" with our cars, I'm sure the dealership is going to look at me strangely.

I'm just going to do an oil change at 1200 miles which is an 80 dollar special at local dealershop for LL01 oil At ~6k I plan to do transmission, rear diff, and oil change That gives the tranny and diff an opportunity to break in YMMV |

I would suggest to save some money and go to an independent BMW repair shop. Ask friends, acquaintances, and look at Yelp ratings then select the best shop and take it there. It never hurts to find a great BMW mechanic and develop an early relationship for the inevitable day you car goes off warranty (Assuming you're not a trust fund baby and sell your car every 4 years.)
I found a great shop in San Diego and as an added bonus there are two car rental agencies next door. OK, so you don't get to drive an loaner BMW, but you can look cool in a Hyundai from Enterprise! (Yea, I know that's a lie.) |
