Max led from start to finish and kept Norris under his thumb with ''Max Wizardry'' something hammy couldn't manage on car 4.

World champ Hill thinks it's more natural talent than the car giving Max the edge over hammy.

Verstappen vs Norris Qualifying Ghost

Very different lines, Merc PU seems on par if not more powerful than the RBR PU.

Lando lost quite a bit of time (about 5 secs) in the pits to Bottas. McLaren should focus on what they can control, their pit crew is lacking.

It can be clearly seen by comparing the lap consistency across the races for Hamilton that the Austrian times are much more erratic after lap 30.

The car was damaged.
There is some good data on that site.

It’s possible Ham may have worn himself out racing Lando, fatigue will crush consistency. Last race of a triple header wore down the majority of older drivers on the grid (with the exception of Alonso).

Agreed, no way I'd ever count out HAM & MB this early in the season. I do think MB performance at Silverstone will be a BIG tell. It's so close retirements & collisions will probably decide the World Champion this year.

But, I can still enjoy HAM & MB being down while it lasts

Not sure if you're serious, being sarcastic, or just don't realize that Lando served a 5 second time penalty during his pit stop...

Yes, I would not count out MERC at this point. Really excited for Silverstone as I expect them to hit back, if they can hit back at all.

Is is it safe to say ALO is back to form and Ocon is getting "VanDoorned"? It will be interesting to see as well.

This is awesome. Noticed during quali Lando's T7 entry was some of the most aggressive outside tire loading I've seen, and this ghost car vid really highlights it (0:49-0:50). It's a full swerve to the right before turn in. Unreal what F1 cars can do. With that speed and g giving it the full Scandinavian Flick... The confidence you'd have to have.

Max also opens up that corner and loads the outside tires, but much less pronounced (0:56-0:57). Looks like the Lando swerve was actually the better technique. Netted him ~1/2 car length.

Cut in Max's tyre was spotted so he was brought in at lap 60 for new C3's which was a risk in itself then nailed the FL with ease.
