Hi guys, Im after some advice and experience after having a reprogramming upgrade of my head unit on 2015 2Series. BMW informed me the CarPlay box fitted in my vehicle caused the head unit to ‘blow’ so they had to disconnect it to perform upgrade and then state if they reconnect the CarPlay device it is likely to blow the head unit again. This doesn’t sound right . I have spoken to the installer of the CarPlay box who has never heard of this issue and finds it’s strange. BMW have scared me into thinking if I reconnect it, the head unit will blow again. Are they being honest or is it they just don’t like third party upgrades fitted ?
