Does anyone have any recommendations for folks who can code fullscreen Carplay? BimmerCode is useless and Bimmertech thinks it is worth $199.99 (hah!)

I have been able to find folks in the $40 - $70 ranges but decided to post here to get opinions on coder/installers.

$199.99 for just fullscreen is a bit excessive. I'm sure there are a few sponsors here who can do much better including us.

Yup. I think companies like Bimmertech should be shamed for this kind of bullshit. I mean, $40-$60 is fair, but five times that? Fuck. That.

I got my car play full screen off of eBay, there it was offered for $35

I saw those too. they have exactly the same process as Steve listed up there. They provide you an installer and remote connection to their sever along with a unique code. Same process as Steve.

EXCEPT Steve will be there with you every step of the way and you can reach out to him if something goes awry, either during installation or after some update. For $20 more I'd rather go with an established business than some Ukrainian yahoos off eBay.

I had to install mine thrice. The first two times I was stuck with a blank box on the right hand side. Steve was on the phone with me and made sure all goes smoothly. I ran the installer in admin mode and it worked.

These things seem like super easy no-brainers till some dumb issue somewhere acts up.

Where is here mother from, that's the better question I actually don't know haha! Her mom came here as a student, met her dad... and so here we are. My wife really has no connection with that side of the family.
