MY2018 Tempertaure gauge - FINALLY

Interesting - we all know M2 has coolant temp....

....whereas Mx40i MY2018 [aka LCI2] has oil temp gauge.

I wonder if this LCI2 oil temp gauge can be retrofitted to older N55 and B58 cars.....

The digital gauges on the 2 series LCI seem to be different from the ones in the higher models. Is it a full digital display? It seems like the layout is similar to the existing dash with just the dials being digital. I've been trying to find some concrete info but I guess we gotta wait for a release. Cool find about the temp gauge!

Are you sure this is a Mx40i?

There is no Mx40i logo under rev counter...

I've been able to code this same coolant temp gauge on my 2016 228i, but it never moves off the blue end and doesn't display any digital temp readout - obviously some sort of wiring-harness connection to either OBDII or a sensor on the engine is required. I don't think installing just the gauge cluster will work without that additional connection.
