Tree branch fell on m235. Advice

Based off the pictures I'm wondering what the procedure of fixing this is, hoping it can be done with paintless dent repair. If there's anyone familiar with the cost of body work like this or works/owns a body shop, is it worth paying out of pocket or going through my insurance for something like this?

Should be fairly easy with PDR. If they can use a glue pull on the outside and don't have to disturb the headliner, likely will cost $100 to $200 for a skilled operator to do, a bit more if they have to work from the inside.

I would personally attempt hot glue. But just from researching YouTube aren't there potential issues with using hot glue like pulling the paint off ?

In the wrong hands, yes. With a skilled operator and the right tools it only becomes a problem when the area has paint missing or cracked already. I recently had about 30 hail dents removed from my Caterham, the aluminium body is more sensitive to paint adhesion than steel bodies with original paint from major manufacturers. About 50% of those dents were glue pull removal, no issue in paint delamination.

I went out and looked at mine with the moonroof pushed back, looks like PDR person would have to remove the plastic piece that contains the roof switch and electronics. Looks like the plastic would pop off but it depends on what can be moved around to get to it. I’ve had some nasty dents removed even on the sharp crease where the wheel fender flares are flat. No doubt they can take it out if they can get access. Might have to get it done with glue but if they can get to it through the plastic housing for roof they can fix it.

Little update, the shop I went to did a phenomenal job. Looks perfect. Definitely wasn't cheap though since they had to remove the entire headliner
