Carbahn Tune

Looks like Carbahn (S. Dinan's new company) has a flash out for the B46 cars. Numbers look p similar to Dinantronics Elite V2. Looks like if you pay a tad more youll get the benefit of some kind* of warranty. Not sure if anyone has this on a B46 vehicle yet but I am certainly interested. I have an inbound in to see if they plan on releasing any additional stages in the future which would be fantastic. Happy to see a proper bench flash available for this motor.

It's not the best value tune considering the price and what it offers. But they provide their warranty if BMW blames the tune for the damage and refuses to do the repair work for free.

Carbahn tunes are not very popular compared to the Jb4,bm3, etc... But if the added warranty is a must for you, then it's an excellent option to consider

Carbahn takes longer to develop but they do that for a reason. The quality of their flashes are in another level

After listening to the smoking tire podcast with Steve Dinan, I would seriously hesitate to use any other tune on my personal vehicle that had not been developed under his watchful eye.

I came to the same conclusion after spending 45 minutes with Dinan while he explained the subject of aftermarket racing ECUs vs. OEM ECUs to me. The man is a walking encyclopedia on the subject.

His recent comments in Roundel magazine explaining the lengths to which his companies have gone to produce reliable tunes gave me further confidence in his products.

Steve Dinan was still the owner of the company and oversaw the N20 products a few years back. A few members on the forum have had The Stage 1 Dinan tune and it seems to be reliable. It's more expensive now than it was then, however.
