M240i xDrive (Pure800 update)

Hi guys, just wanted to post my car’s dyno results and 1/8 mile times as a reference for anyone looking real world results.

There isn’t as much information available for the f22 b58s in comparison to the f30 b58 community , so I figured this would be helpful for people trying to get a basic idea of what the M240i xDrive is capable of doing with simple mods.

Mods:
-AA catless downpipe
-MHD Stage2 ots map
-E30 fuel
-0.22 gapped plugs
-xHP stage 3

The car consistently puts down between 433-436 whp and 435-446 tg on a dynapack, it also runs between 7.35-7.55s in the 1/8 mile track at 95-96 mph.

Update**
Took the car to the 1/4 track, I consistently ran 11.6s with 120mph traps. I know I can cut 11.5s with a better 60” though. Overall I’m pretty happy with the ots map results. The car has lots of potential.

Moroso has a proper scale and I was able to weight it, the results were 3632lbs with a 2/3 gas tank and a child seat.

Great results and thanks for the information. That should be a mid 11 qtr mile, very nice with basic mods...
Question, basic stg 2 map or E30 since you mention running E?

MHD offers different basic ots maps as a bundle (91, 93, 95, and E30) within the stage 2 parameters (aftermarket high flow catted or catless downpipe)

Yep and that's my question, which one of these were you using as I bounce between the E30 and 95oct maps, can't decide which i like better.

Yeah, pretty much. It’s almost 2 hours away from me with all the south fl traffic. Hopefully I can go soon. I’m hoping to see some mid 11s passes

M240i DME update

just got my 17 m240i serviced and they updated the DME. I can no longer flash my MHD maps! It says DME not supported. Is MHD working on this?

Yeah I'm about an hour and a half from Bradenton but after using Dragy to monitor my mods I don't think I'll need to go as often, it's very accurate from my experience.

I need to buy a draggy and take it up there to compare the times, if it’s close then I’ll skip on future trips. That drive kind of sucks unless you go in a big group.

I'm pretty sure if you contact MHD they will assist you. I think they will need the rom id if i'm not mistaken, that could be wrong but off the top of my head i think that's it.

I’m not sure why the dyno operator recoded the hub speed(dynapack) instead of the engine’s rpm.

What's the translation?
I have TU pump, catted downpipe, new champion plug at .022, kn filter
Stg2+ e30. Maybe I'm 450?

Not sure but the dyno sheet does tell you the actual rpm for peak hp and tq in the middle section.

There is a guy who has the same mods as you (except for a catless DP), and he put down 485/515 on that same dyno. He does have a custom tune though. Keep in mind that most of the gains from the bigger fuel pump and the stock turbo are located in the midrange, so it’s totally posible to go over the 450 mark with your mods, but I’m sure it will taper down after 6k since the stock turbo is not that big.

You can find lots of dyno charts that show this effect with people making as much as 500whp by 5k and then dropping fast as they start to reach the red line.

Nice numbers!

That's just a touch more than mine weighs with 2/3 tank of gas...but with me sitting in the driver's chair.

Interesting results. I have a similar setup to you. Also a 2017 m240ix. What tires were you running for your track times?

My mods are:
b58TU fuel pump
0.22 gapped plugs
CTS turbo catless DP
MHD stg2+ e30 (going to try the newest tune soon)
XHP stage 3
also dinan axleback but thats mostly cosmetic in my opinion.

I run 235/40r18 Bridgestone Potenzas S007A all around (easy to rotate), your car should be a bit quicker since you have the TU pump.

I just bumped up to the e40 MHD tune. havent had a chance to try the dragy log yet, but lower end torque and performance seems noticeably better. Ive heard other tuners say that the sweet spot is around e50 for these cars.

Not wearing runflats likely helps too. All of my testing was done with the OEM runflat pirellis. Im waiting for spring to hit to mount PS4's on it, with a little lighter VMR wheel set, and then going to try a few updated runs. Only difference now is Ive also got a full size spare sitting in the trunk adding weight.

My last 0-60 shared was about 3.45 secs, and I dont think that was with the B58TU pump but I could be wrong. I imagine with e40 and the better tires I should be able to beat that now.

I dont have 1/4 mile because I run out of road pretty quickly around here LOL

Nice Thread

I also own a 240i xdrive and planning on stage 2 Mhd.
Coming from a rwd mhd stage 1, stage 2
and eventualy pure Turbo e92 n54,
this car realy amazes me in stock form.
Sadly there is no e85 available where i live,
so i have to go with the ots 95 map.
Is there any advantage with the tu pump without
the use of ethanol?

Thanks
