Highly recommend this mod; it gives you (most) of the benefits of going catless (save for running 110 octane leaded racing fuel) without the drone, extra pollution, smell, etc.

As I indicated earlier in this thread, I am driving on a long trip all this week. I drove 455 miles today and I am very happy to report NO CELL!!!!
I still love the sound and the additional performance and am very happy with my purchase. Next week after I complete my trip, I will post here again regarding the CELL "issue" reported by another member, but so far, even with the longer miles driven today at speed up to 80 mph, NO CELL.

Thanks for the interim update Redbeemer.
Only one question: Why are you driving so slowly?

PS - My catted downpipe is on it's way. I look forward to reporting my experience to the forum.

455 miles! Tank and a half of gas? Or was your foot to the floor the whole time because you like your downpipe too much?!

You never know, Redbeemer could be doing a ton of 10-80 pulls for 455 straight miles.

It's been a pleasure working with you Chris and I can't wait for your review as well!

I have returned from my Thanksgiving trip of nearly 1,600 miles and am happy to report absolutely NO CELLS. The sport cat still sounds wonderful and I can definitely feel the improved performance, so I am very happy with my purchase. Again, NO CELLS since I have owned the FabSpeed Sport CAT. Nice work, guys!

Wow, reading the reviews here, Fabspeed product looks promising!

I have the AWE Tuning full exhaust and I am deciding with which downpipe to get. Is the Fabspeed Sport Cat Downpipe 100% compatible with the AWE Tuning exhaust?

Please let me know! Thanks in advanced!

Our downpipes mate up to factory style flanges. If any aftermarket exhaust can mate to the factory downpipe - it's definitely compatible with our Sport Cat Downpipe!

Thanks for the quick response!

1 more question, I didn't see on your product page, but is this a 4" downpipe?

The inlet to the cat is 3.65", the HJS cat itself is 4.75", and the tube outlet is 3".

Sport Cat Installed

Had my FabSpeed catted downpipe installed today.
Here are some photos comparing the pipe with stock, and installed.

Inside of the stock cat.

Inside of FabSpeed.

Everything bolted up flawlessly.

02 Sensors

Not much change in sound which I like as I don't like a noisy car for noise sake (I'm running stock exhaust). There is a nice more pronounced burble on deceleration, and more exhaust notes with hard acceleration. There are also more pronounced sounds coming from the turbo. I like it as the sounds are purposeful.

I noticed an immediate difference upon driving! The car definitely accelerates with more immediacy. There is a greater/faster response to giving her the gas and the car is noticeably quicker. I installed an intake and really couldn't tell much difference. This FabSpeed Sport Cat makes a very noticeable difference!

I am very happy with this modification and think it gives a lot of bang for the buck. Thanks to Bobby at FabSpeed and Neal at The Racers Line in Concord, CA!

Nice pics.. I have new gasket and clamps ready to install on mine to try to clear up my CEL. The backstory was that i have re-used the original gasket/clamps for my Fabspeed Sport Cat (forgot to order them).. I'm going to replace them and hopefully solve the mystery CEL.

The OEM cat looks to me like a 600 cell, can anyone confirm?
