The lack of grab handles is the biggest one for me, especially since I've had spinal fusion getting in and out can be a little bit tough if I can't open the door far enough.

No glove box to the left of the steering wheel under the headlight controls? That was one thing when I was told about it that I was really happy about. The problem is getting used to remembering that it's there since I've never had a car with that before. In fact, when my sales person pointed it out, I asked "that's not a panel for the fuse box?"

My grip. So dirty so fast.

I would say the wheels on the M235i, love the color but what a poor design. Why would you design a wheel with a groove in it that holds water and doesn't let it run off. There's always a couple areas of grit and dirt in the groove from water sitting after washing it or dirty rain water and brake dust creating black crap.

Yeah, I have that, but I have other stuff in there.

Another gripe: the fuel tank....only 13.7 gallons? C'mon. Even another gallon would've been greatly appreciated.

Yeah the fuel tank is small for city driving, fortunately there are a lot of gas stations in the city. On the highway the the fuel consumption is actually not that bad.

I also agree with the small gas tank. That would be my biggest day to day complaint -- even ahead of the lack of the oil temp gauge. But I still love this car...

I'd advise against turning off automatic door locks. It's actually a good safety feature.
I don't think there is much real safety in the door locks. They offer no additional protection against the door flying open in an accident, and locked doors wouldn't be much of a deterrent to an intruder with a weapon.

Occasionally I do, and sometimes I lock the doors. But I am not going to be safe from an intruder with a gun even if I do.

I found one on AMZN that utilizes the Y cable to integrate iDrive functionality, but it's not compatible with the iPhone 5 and newer.

Are you referring to something like this? I think you'll still have to use the phone to change tracks, albums, etc though.

Was driving in Baltimore a couple years ago. Was stopped at a light on an otherwise deserted street in the middle of the day with family. Two unsavory characters started to make their way toward the car. Instinctively just took of while light was still red.

I thought BMWs automatically unlock the doors if the airbags deploy? I think I had them since my 1997 Z3 2.8...

So you picked up your car earlier this week, you've already hit the 1/4 mark, and you think you'll be driving around for another week with the light on? lol, math doesn't seem to add up here!

but yes, i agree, 1/4 is a tad bit aggressive... code it out.

Annoying!
BMWs are notorious for HPFP issues. Often times, they can be caused by people running the tank low and the pump gets brief periods of starvation and gets worn. I would not advocate running the tank below 1/4.

I hate the cheap plastic door pockets, they scratch very easily. I wish I had a dipstick and an engine oil temp gauge. Other than that I love that car

The bulge in my front left tire acquired on the way home from PCD by hitting a minor (what appeared to be) pothole while my PCD guest was driving.

Plastic is better than the soft touch/foam material in those areas as it is on the F30 3 series- it damages very easily by shoes stepping out of the vehicle.

I hate that I can't see the bottom of the little LCD screen in between the gauges. I have to lean forward to see the bottom.

1st gear in the 6MT is super short. Like it seems like it's just meant to get you up to 2 mph and then you're supposed to shift into 2nd gear.

That's all, lol. I love this car. Especially in sport mode. Heel and toe shifting is so much better/easier in sport mode. Idk why people complain about the throttle response. I love it.

Also, some of these gripes can be coded out/in. It's pretty easy.
