Where do people put their piggybacks?
I just bought a 2015 M235i RWD with 72k miles and it has quite some kit on it.
Dinan axleback+intake, Precision Raceworks coil-near-plug ignition, smells catless and has some aftermarket charge pipes plus some aero and H&R lowering springs. I'm pretty sure it has a piggyback tune on it, but didn't find a box under the usual top left panel by the jump contact. Where else should I look? I'd really like to identify what tune I have for peace of mind, I love how it feels now but will probably get a more conservative tune if whatever it has is pushing high boost or doing anything unhealthy to my reliability. If I can't identify it I'll get a new tune just to be safe. |

If you can't find the piggyback (which is typically where you noted), it might have a flash tune as that's the most common tuning option now.

Thanks, I guess all the posts I'd been finding by google search were old as I didn't even consider a flash tune. Do you know what's an affordable way to measure my boost levels? I just want to make sure it's not pushing anything that would cause reliability concerns |

My newest car before this was a 2002 WRX, I really can't tell the difference between the stock wiring harness and wires related to a piggyback. It looks like there are some wires out of place but when I follow them they just seem to lead back to the harness. Here's what the engine bay looks like, I'm sure you'll be able to tell at a glance. It feels weird to be a newbie again, over the past 3 years I kinda became an expert in late 90's Audis so knowing nothing about mid-2010's Bimmers is a novel feeling to me.
