dammit - cut in side wall
Hey guy's
I don't even know how I'm still driving this. Maybe about 4 to 5 days ago, my TPMS came on, showed ALL 4 tires low. got home had a quick check, pumped all tires and then reset the tpms, all fine. This afternoon, shopping, walked back to car, for some reason, just looked at the wheels on one side, looking at the rimblades, then noticed the back on. Bulge in the rim and cut, how that is holding 40PSI and not blown out I dont know. so some questions 1> would that be covered under my 4 year warranty 2> as it's AWD, can I just replace that one (it's 6mm tread) 3> That tire is around $380 + tax + fitting, I noticed some 2nd hand ones going for around $200 but they are 92H and not 92V also the tread is around 4-5mm's It's not road damage there is a bulge, you can see from the rimblade, there is no curb damage to it suggestions |

Tires are warranted from the tire manufacture - Pirelli in this case. You should have a tire warranty booklet with your owners manual and other warranty information. I have not had a new car tire warranty issue, but I think you will have to take the car/tire to a Pirelli tire dealer, and have them warranty the tire, if it is determined to be a defect.

my tireguy is outta town but sent me an email
"May have some good news for you. If it's an OEM tire and run flat, which yours is, it might qualify for a free replacement. We would have to measure the tread in 32nds of an inch and see if it qualifies. Call me on Tuesday and I can help you out whether it's a warranty claim or if you need to buy a replacement." when I looks it around (depending where you measure, between 6-8 32'nd's Quote:

looks like you might be in need of a new rim. there appears to be a bend in it right below the blowout. It could be lighting but i would have the tire pulled off that rim at I tire shop and have them spin it up and see if it wobbles before while you are waiting on your tire guy
