As I've posted before: I think ride height has increased, but it's another case where I don't have real "before" information.

Camber looks to have gone slightly more positive (maybe 0.25deg), but my measurement tool is crude (phone taped to a straight edge with a level).

Car feels great. There are perhaps more interior rattles surfaced, but the front is really sharp. I was at the Bimmerfest autocross yesterday and was able to get plenty of runs in.

Pics of car as she sits (well, almost: I have cleaned up the cone marks on the rocker panel since taking these )

RW,

Looks good with 441m's

Did the alignment need adjusting when you had it checked post install ?

Looking at the last photo the front tyres are 255/35/18 MPSS so must be a 8.5" 441m up front.

Given that these are et47mm, RW has 5mm spacer fitted to clear strut - see post below

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...60&postcount=1.

Also RW running camber plates hence he's able to get the top of the tyre further inward and run much higher camber angles than just with LCA + TS.

Any photos of your car with LCA and TS installed ??

I also noticed on mine, it pushed the wheel further out, so The track width is more in line with a m3/m4.

I am now running 15mil spacers in the rear and 7 mil in the front.
Before I ran 12 mil in the front. That gives me a track width difference of .9 inches. 62.4 in the rear, 61.5 in the front. That is on oem wheels.
This is it quite confusing for me...

To sum-up, and complete BP post, for the F8X TS upgrade:

Let's talk in milimeters since car is designed in metric.

Material - Stainless Steel, Aluminium?
OD - 1.5": 38.1mm ?
ID - to suit M12: 1/2": 12.7mm ?
Length:
- Front/Outside:
- Pparana 4mm
- rwalker 1/4": 6.35mm
- Rear/Inside:
- Pparana 15mm
- rwalker 1/2": 12.7mm

Total Length (Front/Outside + Rear/Inside)
- Pparana 4mm + 15mm = 19mm
- rwalker 1/4": 6.35mm + 1/2": 12.7mm = 3/4" = 19.05mm

rwalker reduced 1/2" spacer by half a millimeter: 12.7-0.5 = 12.2mm
6.35+12.2 => 18.55mm length

But then Pparana, you talk about 15mm (rear/inside) + 7mm (front/outside), that lead to a length of 22mm, 3mm more than previous setup!

So what are the right values in mm to match F8x geometry, more correct wheel placement and less bushing wear, ?

Many thanks in advance!

Pparana is referring to wheel spacers in that sentence, not TS spacers. You can ignore Pparana's first TS spacer setup as he's now running 0.25in/0.50in (outside/inside), just like me.

I think if you insist on metric spacers, they'd be 19mm total. Your choice will be whether to do 6mm/13mm or 7mm/12mm (outside/inside).

1/2mm is 0.5mm not 0.05mm

12.7 -> 12.2

19mm -> 18.5mm

Based RW's experience, I have 12.2mm and 6.3mm spacers 30mm OD and m12 ID

Very nice thanks! (Sorry for my bogus calculus... )

BP, did you use aluminium spacers or stainless steel?

Where did you order them in UK?

I plan to use stainless steel spacers to be sure that there is no problem, since we don't have long term feedback about aluminium ones...

Yes I bought stainless steel too.

I bought them off eBay UK - seller 19edward45 - guys name is Vic - email address is victorescott@hotmail.co.uk

Vic made the spacers to my specs. Good service, prompt and value for money.

Hi BP,

Did you had time to install your TS?

I'm still waiting for Victor to manufacture SS spacers.

I've received F8x TS + bolts

Since this was not clear, what Bee Pee and I ordered for the F8X TS upgrade:

Material - Stainless Steel? Aluminium?
OD - 30mm
ID - 12mm bore (to suit M12)
Length:
- Front/Outside: 6.3mm
- Rear/Inside: 12.2mm

Total Length (Front/Outside + Rear/Inside): 6.3mm + 12.2mm = 18.5mm

Thus, I ordered to Vic (See Bee Pee post #80 above ) :

- Front/Outside: 2x Stainless Steel 12mm bore x 30mm dia x 6.3mm long
- Rear/Inside: 2x Stainless Steel 12mm bore x 30mm dia x 12.2mm long
