Hey all! Initially I purchased the remus non resonated catback exhuast to pair with a catted downpipe. I loved the sound of the current setup aside from the fact that I think it could be a little louder, but now I'm thinking of switching to catless since i don't want to worry about the cat anymore and may want to go upgraded turbo.

I am concerned that a catless dp will sound bad and droney with the non resonated midpipe. Anyone running this setup? If this is the case, I can always cut the remus muffler on and use the stock midpipe, but then I have a remus midpipe sitting around and collecting dust. Any thoughts on what I should do with the exhuast if switching to catless? Thanks in advance!

I have a Remus axle back to Dinan reso-delete with a catless dp. I know I got the n55 but you're welcome to take a listen if you want. In my opinion, with the valve closed, it sounds just fine not too loud but you know it's there. Open it up and well, you can sound like a bat out of hell if you want. Drone is not bad either since part of the exhaust is still be routed/muffled by the muffler. Anyway, I say you're fine but I don't have first-hand experience with b58 platform exhaust ...

Always down to listen! would like some advice from b58 owners too tho as I know there's a common rasp around 2k rpm for these motors

I have the remus race exhaust with vrsf catless downpipe. It is loud and it smells but i love it. It does resonate in comfort on upshifts at low rpm, other than that it is perfect. Upshifts on heavy load in sports mode sound brutal.

Hi,
I personally prefer the catted downpipe sound but if it's not as loud as you would like it to be, I think you will like the catless sound

I love the catted downpipe right now, it sounds great, but I've been advised to go catless with an upgraded turbo and I already have the non resonated exhuast. I know someone running a cg catted dp with Vargas gc and says he doesn't have problems and it runs great but everyone else has advised me to go catless to help with spool so I'm not really sure what I'll do yet.

Im in the opposite position. Catless DP and stock catback. Id like a little more loudness, but Im pretty happy where I am too.

Update. Ended up going catless with a pure turbo. Sounds rly good. Minimal to no drone, very loud, but very good sounding It's hard to make these b58s drone unless you have the exhuast too close to something that can vibrate. We ended up rotating the midpipe a bit to get better clearance and all is good!

Hahaha no problem! So this is with pure800, ER catless dp, remus catback non resonated. BM3 burbles set to 6 aggression (still playing around with that, might turn them off or up idk yet LOL) and XHP stage 3 for the upshift sound. Car is still on an OTS map and is waiting for a custom tune so I don't want to floor it or go to redline yet but it still sounds good Here's some pics and clips:
