How to repair minor air dam damage?

I inadvertently drove through a pothole that had a rock in the bottom, which dented the very bottom edge of the air dam and left a small scratch in the paint. The missing paint area is pretty small and would be easy to cover with touchup paint.
How hard would this be to repair? Is the material polymer, and can it be reformed by applying heat, then bending? I'd like not to get into Bondo and sanding if I can avoid it, as the location is really awkward to work in.
