Insurance rates?
What's a good monthly rate on a m235i?
I'm paying $118 a month for a $1k deductible and want to know if that's a decent price. 26 with a flawless driving record.

Those of us outside Cali don't know what minimum-coverage laws y'all have, particularly regarding Comprehensive, Bodily Injury and UM/UIM. Also a factor: where you live in Cali. You're gonna pay a lot less if you live outside the big cities and in NorCal. So if you're in L.A. or the OC proper, that sounds pretty decent for your age.

Too much of a variable for us to help you. You need to call AAA or another insurance agent and get them to quote you rates from various carriers. I'm with PEMCO in Seattle and they were half the rate of State Farm or GEICO.

I'm paying a $500 deductible and pay about $75 a month if prepaid for 6 months with Progressive. I'm not quite 40, but close. Few tickets in the past and no accidents in I don't know how long, many many years.

I'm 27, in Texas but I used to live in Michigan and so I continue to just buy insurance with coverage that has the same coverages....just cause I'm comfortable that way.
I have bodily at 250k/500k, property at 100k and uninsured/underinsured at 250k/500k. comprehensive is 100 deductible and collision 500 deductible. my 6 month is under $780. |

I live in LA and all I have to say is look into Liberty Mutual if you are BMWCCA member. Very good rates compared to any other companies.

All these posts make me wonder what sorcery allows me to have a $280 6-month premium on my M235xi.
250/500/250 liability, zero deductible glass, $250 comprehensive, $1000 collision. I even have rental coverage. I guess living in MN and being 37 has its advantages. |

This is a common question but unfortunately one that can't be answered on the forums. It is impossible to compare rates unless you are the same age, same marital status, have the same record, and live in the same zip code. What if I told you my rate is $70/month fully covered with $1k deductibles?

Yep, varies according to location, age, driving record and other factors. I used to have cheaper rates years ago through Geico and switched to Liberty Mutual after they offered a better price with my car prior to the 235. Liberty Mutual then jumped up $80 a month once I bought my 2016 M235i Xdrive so I switched back to Geico.

I cut my insurance premium in half by moving my policy from All state to Geico at the time I purchased my M235i (lower deductibles and better coverage).
I then moved the rest of my policy (cars/house) and added an umbrella policy and was still able to reduce my total insurance burden be 50%.... I had my policy with All State for over two decades and I really wish I hadnt been so lazy with shopping insurance rates. I wasted thousands and thousands over two decades...From here on out I will shop insurance rates every couple of years. No Geico stock and dont work for them... |

I pay $93 a month. It only went up $8 for this car compared to my CLA 250, I expected a bigger increase because of uh you know, the way faster/more expensive car thing.
