Thanks! They did such a great job that if you didn't know better you'd think it was a paint job. They even got in the doorsills and door jambs, as well as no Alpine White showing during top up/down motion.

......dealer as the clutch pedal (the transmission is a manual) is vibrating during the last 1/4 to 1/3 of the its travel. Car has roughly 8500 miles. The service person said it needs a new clutch, and that I could be on the hook for the cost!

I never hold the clutch down at stoplights as I engage first gear when the light is about to turn green. I don't drag race the car, though I'm tempted. I have tracked the car at VIR and Summit Point (a total of 3 times), but the transmission is in 3rd gear for most of the time at both tracks.

Anyone have similar issues with the clutch in their cars?

I'm at 6.5K, and without issues. Car's been tracked three times, and now that I've passed 70...pretty slowly at that.

Given you have a 2018, how is it that you're possibly on the hook for the repair?

45k kms, 5 track days, many kms of hard mountain driving. Some playing around with launching points and LC, no issues to report.

Sorry for your luck, seems like these things are hit/miss with respect to namely the dual mass flywheel. The dealer/BMW should help you on this with such low miles, I'd fight hard if they push back, that's absurd. They'd have to find a lot of friction material in order to point the finger at driver error..

I bought the drop stop. No more dropping stuff between the seats.

I had a black microfiber rag that work well, till l coded easy entry. This goes through the seatbelt and moves with the seat

Hi All,

I wanted some more "boom" to go along with the OEM HK system. I ended up purchasing a JL 10" subwoofer, JL Mono Amp, and a custom fiberglass enclosure through Visualice on eBay.

I also used the Technicpnp add a sub harness. Install was very easy, looks clean, and sounds great.

I took the 230i to my SCCA Reno region’s Auto-X school Novice day. It was timed but not for points, and my best run would have been good for 2nd place in the Novice class behind a Subaru 2.5RS with an STI engine swap (probably SM?).

I’m woefully under-prepped for STX, but had I stayed for the afternoon session and been able to repeat that time, I would have been first in class. None of the 86’s showed up for some reason.

And I met a 1-series owner also in the Novice class and a couple m235i owners running in the F-Street class.

It was a pretty good day...and now I’m tempted to spend way too much money on Re71-R’s.
