Launch Control
I was wondering how launch control works on my 6MT M235i, what steps do I need to do to activate it?

The Corvette actually has launch control for the manual too. You set it up, clutch in, floor it and the rpm will hold 3500 and computer takes over and just pop the clutch.

1.) Put your 6MT in Sport+ mode
2.) Clutch in, step on the gas pedal, the car will hold revs at 3.5k rpm 3.) Clutch slowly out, gas pedal slowly to the floor Caution: Step on the gas pedal just enough that the revs hold at 3.5k rpm. Otherwise, all you'll get is wheel spin if you floor it. The trick is to ease out on the clutch and slowly floor the car. |

1. sport+ isn't required 2. I would recommend using WOT so that you have max accell. in 1st gear. use the slow clutch withdrawal to prevent wheel spin. this is all personal preference, however. |

If you can afford to replace the clutch sooner. I dislike the feeling of riding the clutch.

You can press and hold traction control button. After that you will have launch control increased to 6500-rpm which is the same as rev-limiter.

I don't think its milage based so much as temperature based. The two are pretty synonymous in this situation though. As long as transmission and engine are at operating temp and no faults, the software will allow it. There is a five minute cool down period after each attempt as well for the ZF8 to recover.

I would rather have the line lock feature they use on the brakes.
