Choice of Wheel Widths

Dear Brothers,

I am thinking which of the following combinations would be better:

Option A:
Fr 19X8.5 ET 38 (Tyre-225/35/19) Rr 19X9.5 ET48 (Tyre-255/30/19)

OR

Option B:
Fr 19X8 ET 32 (Tyre-225/35/19) Rr 19X9 ET42 (Tyre-255/30/19)

The major difference is that option A is 8"/9" combination for front and rear respectively, while option B is 8.5"/9.5" combination.

I think in terms of the extent of poking out the fender as well as the concavity of wheel would be more or less similar for both options.
(Having checked at the website http://www.willtheyfit.com/

I guess option A has the benefit that the risk of rubbing against the struts would be much less as the distance from strut compared with that of original setup would be of no much difference.

However, I see most brothers here would opt for Option B with wider wheel widths.

Can anyone tell me why option B is more preferable than option A?

Garage List
2013 BMW M3  [10.00]
2015 BMW M4  [0.00]
2013 BMW F30  [0.00]
2014 BMW F22  [0.00]
2013 BMW F06  [0.00]
Both options should work without any rubbing/fitment issue. I believe the question now just comes down to performance/looks.

8 | 9
- Lighter
- May have less concavity/lip (depending on wheel design)
- Tire may appear more "square"

8.5 | 9.5
- Heavier
- May show more concavity/lip
- Tire may appear slightly "stretched"

^ There is also some debate on how a slightly stretched tire may perform vs. a "square" seated one.
