Summer tire pressure

I've got a 2017 230i x drive. In the winter I use stock 17 inch wheels with run flats. I set the tire pressure to what's suggested on the door. 32 front. 36 rear. In the summer I put on 18 inch wheels with Michelin Pilots. Any suggestion for tire pressure? thanks.

I run 34/36 mostly; front end feels a bit tighter with more pressure. As long as you stay w/i the tire's sidewall limits, you are tuning for feel and tire contact so you can play around to find the best balance for your style. I'm on Conti's, but I hear the Michelins are more sensitive to edge-wear in front if they aren't kept a bit high (for hard driving; routine street you probably won't notice it).

I do think it’s extremely important that at 100mph + you get those tire pressure at least as high as the manufacturer recommends for sustained high speed.

I'm on the factory 17's and when the tires are warm the pressures are around 33/36. When cold they drop easily 2 psi per tire. (31/34 when starting in the morning for example)

-edited for typo, said 38 but was 36. Tonight for example its 84 degrees out and the rears didn't get much past 35psi, but in heat of the day when surface is well over 110 its about a pound higher.

I run 40 psi all around. Help when you hit a pothole. Conti's on 18 inch stock rims.
