Same here....but about to switch to Michelin AS3 to get more use throughout more of the year, before putting on the Blizzaks. We drop below 40 degrees F long before the snow arrives and the PSS can't take that, per Michelin - compound cracking.

My M235i xdrive came with the Pirellis, but I just swapped them for PSS's, and it is a night and day difference. The PSS's handle potholes much better without the rigid jarring of the Pirellis, and they are also quieter and much, much stickier. Pirellis are in storage for the next owner.

Who would get an m235i without PSS? I'm not even sure why it was an option for A/S tires.

PSS in the summer, Blizzaks in the winter

Dealers seem to be use to checking the run-flat box on their orders. If they do that it changes the default PSS to all seasons. My dealer almost made that mistake on my order but I caught it.

This is exactly my case...Mine was an in inventory vehicle when I purchased with the Pirelli Cinturato rubber. I suspect most dealers up here in the snowbelt are going to order square, all seasons for their XI's..

My all seasons are also in storage for the next owner while I drive Blizzaks this winter and PSS this summer...

Dealer gave me a hell of a deal on winter shoes so I'm not losing sleep over it.

I have the Pirelli Cinturato A/S because the car was an in stock vehicle and fully equipped how I wanted except the tires. I don't care about having all seasons, what bothers me is having the 130mph speed limit

How so pal? It's not an issue with the tires because they are still rated for over 155mph its BMW being stupid and putting a slower speed limiter when it wasn't a necessity.

Yes. The setup will be AS3 from around March through November on a new set of BBS wheels, and Blizzak WS80 for winter. All 17" for the awful, lousy roads with broken asphalt/concrete just about everywhere (AS3), and narrow as possible for winter (WS80). The large wheel aesthetic takes a backseat to reality around here. I just made a deal to sell my original 18"/PSS combination.

Just switched from the Potenza RFT's to Pilot Super Sports thinking it would be a small change. Man, was I wrong. It is NIGHT & DAY.

On Tirerack, Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flats in size 225/40-18 are listed as having a V speed rating, 149 mph. That is (slightly) less than the 155 mph you get with the increased top speed limiter, option 840, so I understand why BMW does not offer a 155 mph top speed with these tires.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports in staggered size have a Y speed rating, 186 mph, a comfortable margin over a 155 mph limit.
