Bracing the chassis - removing flex
Hi all,
When i exit my steep drive way at an angle, i can hear the chassis flexing. Was wondering whether people have had success strengthening the chassis and removing this flex? Would love to hear more about the mods you have used to achieve this and how this has positively (or negatively) affecting handling? Cheers, |

Wow this is the first time I have heard of this being an issue on a m235i. I've heard and seen problems in previous generation BMW's (e46) where the rear sub frame would tear away from the mounts in the steel body. Is the sound coming from the rear?

I suspect you are hearing s/t else like bushing deflection or springs moving in the perches some? They sell stiffeners for convertibles, but I suspect they don't add much.

My drive way sucks, so I always go in an angle going in and out of it. I have yet to experience any chassis flex on my 2016. Better yet I usually end up 3 wheeling if I stop for traffic while getting out of the drive way.
