Climate and Clock Issues

Hi Everyone, new to thread and first post. I have a 2015 M235i for about 6 months and have really enjoyed it. I've had two problems, one dealer told me no issue and the other one is new and haven't been able to take it in yet. Wondering if anyone else is seeing either of these issues:

1. Auto setting on climate control will not adjust fan speed itself. I've owned many BMWs, including 2 others right now, and none of them have ever not done this.

2. Now that is has gotten real cold in Midwest, after sitting a while I'll go to start the car and my clock has lost 30 minutes, 2 hours, etc. always random amounts of time. This last one was about 10 minutes.

Thanks in advance for any info. Here's a pic of my car, 6sp manual.

On my 2015 235 I don't think AUTO adjust the fan speed. But the fan speed icon lights up differently between AUTO and MANUAL mode. On auto it looks like the one fan speed LED is lit and on MANUAL all the LED's up the set speed are lit.

in auto, the fan speed you select is the fastest it will operate. once it reaches temp, it'll reduce speed.

I think your car needs a new battery. A lead/acid battery’s performance degrades as the temperature decreases. An older battery will suffer greater degradation due to low temperatures than a new battery.
