I want to replace the factory HiFi system in my 2018 M240i. Any thoughts on the Bimmertech system? Decent, or is there better out there? I've also seem folks install the JL Audio XD600/6v2. Is that unit as plug and play as the Bimmertech?

the JL xd 600/6v2 is not quite as PnP as the bimertech/match amp. However it does have 75 watts at 4ohms x 6 compared to the match at 50watts per channel. From what i understand the match amp has a built in dsp which is nice as you can equalize your sys to the f22. I went with the focal idbmw-s in the front doors and JL x5 c400 and the jl .75 tweeter on the rear deck. I love the JL amp sounds great

I installed a BimmerTech amp in my 2016 M235i. I paired it up with BAVSOUND stage 1 + Ghost Subs .... Awesome sound and very CUSTOMIZABLE !!!

Getting the tune setup properly does take a bit of time but worth it once you tweak it the way you want it ....
