trading in my 335i for one of these worth it?

Thinking about trading in my stage 2 n55 F30 335i x drive for one of these.

I love my 335i to death but the upgraded engine (b58) with better handling in this smaller chassis is something that really appeals to me.

Are you guys happy with the purchase you've made on this car?

I like mine enough that I'd buy one again. It was the only new BMW I seriously considered.

I almost can't put into words how much I love and enjoy my M240. I have my nitpicks, but overall I can't stop smiling when I drive it. I got mine with 4k miles for under $40k. That is a STEAL for the type of machine it is.
B58 is a nice motor. Pretty beefy on the insides too. Stephan Papadakis built a 1000hp setup on the B58 and used the stock rods, crank, and even the stock HEADGASKET LMAO. That's insane.
I say do it, so long as you don't mind the 2 door.

That's awesome. i'm test driving one in a couple of days and curious to see how the stock b58 in this engine compares to my tuned n55.

Heck yes! Also will add that if you go with the auto, the ZF8 trans is a solid platform as well. I watched a tear down video of one, and the guy was saying it was a genius design (using the planetary gear setup instead of the dual clutch). I hear some people aren't impressed with the shift speeds, but I find it to be excellent... especially since it's not a full on ///M. Besides, the xHP flashtool can take care of all that anyways lol.
Let us know what you think!

Will do.
I used to drive manual and actually prefer automatic living in a city now which is what's in my car xhp flashed as well.

My M240i is my 5th bimmer (I an old beezer)! After 2.5 years of ownership I still get a thrill when I open the garage door and see him (his name is Gerhardt).

You’re gonna love it. If you have access to ethanol, you can make 500 WHP on the stock B58 turbo with just software, DP, and upgraded HPFP. Throw in an LSD and this thing is a total riot.

Orrrrr get the Pure 800 Turbo kit, a custom tune, an upgraded HPFP, and a sweet DP... and make close to, if not more than, 600 WHP on 93 pump gas. That's a convenient riot!

my 335i xdrive was the last car I owned, prior to purchasing the 240. Mine was totaled in an accident.

It is 100% worth it. Yours having been stage 2 will probably bridge the gap in performance between the two, but still worth it.

wow.

The car is incredible. had a great deal of balance to it. i took it on some backroads and had a ton of fun. I felt so in control and finally being able to drive that b58 was an awesome experience.
I need one asap!!

Unfortunately the bmw dealership didn't offer me a lot on my trade in because of the 2 fender benders the car has been in. i'm thinking of selling my car myself with all the bolt ons on it as well as the stock parts on the side.

The car is listed at just under 30k at the dealership CPO and i'm also anticipating the price to drop over the next year.

Can't even put into words how awesome that car is.

I work in automotive, on average an accident will lower your trade in 20% - 30% below market price.

right now used car values are taking a dive..and will get even worse if Hertz bankruptcy gets approved.

Most people are not buying used cars private party at the moment due to 0% financing offers and relaxed credit restrictions on them as well.

Might want to give their offer a second thought, after reviewing autotrader/cars.com inventory, and see what ones without accidents sell for.

Sell the car as close to stock as you can get it, and sell the bolt-ons separately. aftermarket parts on a car will deter a LOT of buyers.

I had a 2007 E92 6MT that I modded with M3 suspension parts, Hotchkis swaybars, full bolt ons, short shift kit, 19" custom wheels, etc.

I had to replace it when my kids broke it while they were learning to drive.

I really miss it. Maybe if I had gotten the 6MT instead of the 8AT, I wouldn't miss my E92 quite so much. However, I also find the 'modes' to be totally annoying. The only time I DON'T want Sport mode is if I'm doing long distance freeway driving, where Eco is good.

I got the BM3 Stage 1 for 93 octane slapped on my M240i, but it's otherwise stock. The B58 totally runs out of power above 6k RPM, so it's upshifting algorithms blow sometimes, shifting above the powerband where it's all noise, no go.

With the tune, it's about as quick as my E92. Handling-wise, not as good because of the fake steering and squishy suspension.

I do like it feeling a little lighter, and it looks pretty cool (white/blackout trim with red interior).

So, I wish I still had my E92, but the M240i isn't bad.

You need to get xHP flash tune for your transmission. That will fix your upshifting woes.

Also, this car comes into form with a DP and Stage 2 tunes. You will forget your E92.

Well, except the manual
