Looks like that 2018 M2 is also on the recall list BUT at least you’re getting to enjoy it now plus not having to break it in, haha! Great find.

Garage List
Does anybody know the details behind the recall? This isn't another Takata - shooting projectiles - is it?

As of right now my M2 is not on any recall list.
We shall see if it stays that way.

Yep - me too. I haven't received a letter yet either.

I got word today that my recall fix has been completed and my car is scheduled to jump on a truck in the next day or two. Hopefully, I'll have my new ride by the weekend!!!!

Yes - there is hope! I sent an email this afternoon born of frustration to the sales manager; no more than 60 seconds after I hit send did I receive a phone call. The recall was literally completed today and my ride is awaiting a carrier to the dealership. He said that normally means 3-4 days.

However, w all of that said, I'll believe it when I see it! I'm beginning to think this car is a figment of my imagination....

Hoping this means the rest of you who had 2 series sitting at the Baltimore port are in a similar situation and you should be receiving your babies shortly!

Damn I'm on the list. Checked my BMW connected for the recall but it is way out of date, had a dealer oil change two weeks ago and they did a software update, no mention of airbags so guess I'll be getting the letter soon. Thanks for posting.

Got the call from my dealer that the airbag replacement at the Port of Baltimore is finished and the car is waiting for a truck for transport.

Just read on Bimmer Blog the knee airbag recall isn’t scheduled to begin until July 2. There’s also a recall for the X7 regarding the head airbags not being installed properly. The knee airbag recall had to do with the bags not packed correctly.
