F23 options without Dinan midpipe

Fellow M240i convertible owners,

I have been doing some research into upgrading my exhaust. I was pretty much set on going the Dinan midpipe install + resonator delete route, but turns out that isn't a supported option for the F23 variant. I called a couple of Dinan dealers and they confirmed this as well, to my disappointment.

So now I am not quite sure what route to take. Not sure if I want to spend $1k+ on a MPE install, but is that the only option available for us?

Feel free to share your setup/configs as I am very curious to know how other convertible owners have done to their exhausts.

Check this thread, as the one member claims he has the midpipe on his F23:

Wow wtf. Thanks for that, I'll hit up that guy with some questions haha. Now I am more confused, I called the BMW/Dinan dealer in Houston and the person there told me it wouldn't fit because of the extra bracing.

Anyone out there in Texas with this setup perhaps?

I hear you. I just got my F23 a couple of weeks ago, and exhaust info is sparse and conflicting. Wanted to go with AWE, but they're not interested in developing one. Waiting of FabSpeed to get back to me. Dinan axle-back is now updated on their site to work.

Update: I talked to one of my local Dinan dealers to get some clarification on this. He in turn, ended up calling Dinan HQ to understand the setup of F23 - from what he told me - apparently the F23 has an extra bracing on the top that will require the midpipe to be "squished" or bent, to be fit properly. His recommendation to me was to go to a proper exhaust shop and get a custom made pipe. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this..

What did your Dinan dealer have to say about doing just the axle-back (muffler) only? Any fitment issues there?

Ah the plight of us vert owners. I wanted to do the same thing and decided against it. had the same type of issuws with my E88. now wait until you try to get an IC...same "extra front bracing" issue.

Wonder if Akropovic's link(mid) pipe really does fit the F23 chassis.......

From their site:
