No Audio From Car

I Drive a 2016 m235xi Convertible.

I haven't done anything to the car but one day the audio stopped working.

No sound from radios, sensors or anything.

Before I bring it to the dealership wondering if you guys have any ideas?

I've only tried to update the system so far. Did Not work.

Remove the positive terminal from your battery for 5 minutes and reconnect. See if that solves the issue.

If the headunit still has power, try holding the power button down for 20 seconds or so, which should initiate a reboot.

Power button? U mean the on/off for the radio?

Yes ... the volume knob is also the power button. By pushing and holding it for 20 seconds, you cause a system reboot.

I tried the system reboot didn't work. Will try unhooking the positive battery terminal later.

Do you have an HK amp? Ive read those can go bad. Check fuses too.

Disconnect the negative first. If you disconnect the positive first and you accidentally hit the chassis with a wrench you can create a mess pretty quickly.

Update

The radio started working again by itself a couple of days later for a week. Then all of a sudden it stopped.

Yesterday I started hearing snap crackle and pop sounds coming from my speakers does this mean my amps dead?

Still haven't unhooked my battery yet.

Try disconnecting the negative battery cable to see what happens.
