Mirror tap for Radar Detector?

I wanted to try to tap into the mirror harness for my radar detector instead of keeping the cord dangling. Has anyone done this and which product did you use? I am going to be ordering a blendmount for the car.

If you have a Uniden, this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works perfectly. I originally bought a cheaper brand but the leads weren't long enough so I went with MirrorTap and it works great.
