Funny you should mention that - I drove by one today and as I passed it, I did the whole "Look at me, I'm a dodge" sign. He was sitting so high up, he probably couldn't see me in there, but who knows.

The dodge mirrors aside, I would 100% consider getting a used Ram 2500 with the Cummins and a six speed if I could find a reason I needed a truck. I figure that combination is nigh on indestructible for about 400,000 kms or so. Probably more.

The engine is rated for something like 400,000 km between overhauls...in commercial service. The only thing that will kill a common-rail Cummins is dirty fuel. I ran mine as a daily driver for 10 years until I picked up the i3. Now, the truck only gets used for road trips. Believe it or not, the Cummins gets better fuel mileage than my Audi 1.8T on the same commute.....

I believe it - absolutely. Its why the idea continues to live on in the back of my mind, picking one up even though I have absolutely no use for it, because I think its super reliable and would be with me for a long while.
