Angry I hate my headlights

My 2015 228ixCV has been to BMW of Asheville for adjustment but they are just terrible in the mountains. I live on a dark mountain road and they are too low on low and just mediocre on high. The adaptive feature does not help. Any ideas?

Have you looked into adjusting the lights yourself? What type of lights do you have, halogen or xenon or LED? My 230i has the LED's and they are better than the xenons in our 428i and our previous 328i. I’ve had to adjust all my xenons from my E46, X5, F30, and F36. The only one not needing adjustments is my F22; the others all tended to be on the low side.

Do a search on either this board or the F3x for how to adjust your lights.

I had to raise mine up a bit, manually. Also was in a Mountain region and without hi-beams on, you could barely see 100M ahead.

Another great Mikey video!

Seriously, anybody with a M235/M240 needs to go out and subscribe to this channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdL...aAxezmWLy6A3UQ

These are the some of the best produced car repair/maintain/upgrade videos I've seen, and they are all about OUR car. He should have thousands of subscribers. I'll probably never do the upgrades, but I've learned so much about where things are on this car just by watching them. Other repairs will be easier just from watching these.

I agree his videos are fantastic, I’ve done many all the mods/maintenance after watching

i adjusted my headlights right when i got the car and it helped and was needed.. but for ~$20 this lighting upgrade is the best.. thanks for posting!

i went with the 6000k and they are a really nice white, jsut barely blue. only took about 5 mins to change out after watching the video . i hope they last but for $20, its no big deal.
(side note, i didn't catch him say in the video.. be careful to never touch the glass of a bulb, it will dramatically reduce the running life)

I have had two 2 series, and the headlights were aimed too low on both of them. The dealer had no problem aiming them higher for me.
