Speaker Upgrade Help

Hello all,

New here, just picked up my new-to- me M235i over the weekend and it's amazing; unfortunately, the stock hifi system is as bad as I've read.
I've picked through quite a few forums and looked at BavSounds offerings.
What I haven't found is any sort of fitment guide for what speakers will fit or how much space there is which makes me nervous. I've also seen people using brackets and/or spacers to make speakers fit and every link I've checked on where they've gotten them has gone to outdated ebay listings.

What I'd like to do:

Option 1:
1.) Morel Maximos or JBL GTO's +/- center speaker
2.) Earthquake SWS subwoofers
Total: $400ish

Option 2:
1.) BavSound everything
Total: $1100ish

Option 3:
1.) Bavsound speakers
2.) Earthquake SWS subwoofers
Total: $800ish

I'm not looking to do a wholesale audio swap and want a relatively simple upgrade I can do in a weekend.

The unknowns here have me strongly considering spending the extra on BavSound, especially since it's a drop in replacement set, but for nearly triple the cost I don't know that it's worth it. However, the other options leave me concerned about level matching the speakers and the subs and unknowns with the install process.

Any thoughts or inputs are appreciated, I know there's been a ton written about this already but I'm just not seeing the answers I want anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

Eton and focal ifbmw don't need spacers. Unplug the centre and don't bother with the rears.
The sws do need a spacer.

I don't want to hijack your thread, but does anyone have an opinion on the complete Bimmertech Alpha One speaker kit vs the Bavsound speakers?

Also, just found these if anyone has any thoughts on/experience with them:

https://www.parts-express.com/grs-b1...odels--292-490

https://www.parts-express.com/grs-b2...-ohms--292-496

The speakers look nice, but the subs have some questionable specs (65Hz Fs, 5.5mm xmax and nearly 97db sensitivity) and seems a bit odd.

Edit: linked the wrong speakers
