Staggered on the 230?

Its new to me so im not sure if that's stock? but my 230i has staggered wheels? is that normal for the lower end car? they're all potenza run flats so should i replace the front bubbled tire with another or buy a new set of none run flats? i didn't hit a big pothole but lack of of runflat concerns me but i presume none runflats are more resilient?

Huh? Only you know the answer to that. Look at your tire sidewall and it'll say either run flat or RFT on there.

What color are the brake calipers...grey or blue? Do you have the Track Handling Package?

I had the S001 RFT I've since replaced with AS3+ but dug up an old pic of my tire. Look at the upper portion of the pic and you'll see RFT labeled. If your tire has no markings anywhere, then it's not RFT. You'll have to look good though as you can see in the pic that it can easily be overlooked.

I ordered my 2019 230i with MSptPkg and requested a staggered config with non RFT summer tires. They came with the Michelin 18” Pilot Super Sport. The other two options were performance RFT and all-season RFT.

I just don't see RFT anywhere on the tire? Im thinking about either buying a single s0001 and replacing what is there? buying 2 new cheaper brand tires from general and swapping both fronts. OR biting the bullet and replace all with all season none run flats.

UGH.

Sucked it up and ordered a new set of staggered all season. Guess it means better wet driving etc.

All season means the rubber doesn’t lose performance in colder weather (under 50 deg) it doesn’t impact wet handling.

Which did you pick?

From what I read the pattern of the as tyre will push water better than summers?

I went with the continental dws 06.

Excellent choice. I went from two sets of DWS06 to my current AS3+ and am disappointed in the sub 30 degree performance of the Michelin. Once these wear, I'm going back to DWS06 for the NW weather (2-3 days of snow per year but a lot of rain and 30 degree for 3-4 months).
