On my 2, i can only scroll up and down to chose the next track. An extra step that I dont need. Come to think of it, I have only been using carplay, maybe using the native BMW media I might be able to scroll. Ill try or someone can chime in. |

A next/previous toggle would have been great. You get used to the scroll and push, but when you get to the bottom of a list of tracks or radio presets, it doesn't wrap to the top. You have to use the "next" button on the center stack.

When playing music from a USB drive in shuffle mode, the thumbwheel on the steering wheel only flips to the next song on the list (alphabetically); it does not shuffle. I have to use the center controller for that.

I love my 2 Series, but there is one thing ...
As i drive an Auto Right Hand Drive Car (Australia) my left leg does not do much. There is a small padded section on the console to rest your leg against but it is positioned too far forward for me. I am not that tall and don't have the seat too far back but my knee still hits the console and not the padding. Does anyone else have this problem ? |

I use Optimums rinseless car wash. No water to blow out or empty from mirrors. Plus it adds a nice shine with the ingredients they add. Takes no time for a thorough wash and it is great in cold weather. Wash it in my heated garage.

I drive through Lewes a bit more than I like since that's the route I take to OC for vacations or to go fishing/crabbing.. Hope your space is big enough for a 1 ton pickup because that's what I take, when I got fishing/crabbing.

Pretty much the only things I don't like are that Spotify on both Carplay and BMW iDrive is a little buggy, and when I pull the door handle before it has unlocked itself.

1)The seatbelt gets twisted and gets locked. Drives me crazy.
2) HK subs stop working and then work then don't. 3)navigation maps blow missing roads that have been around for 30years. 4)nothing to grab on the door when the wind catches it since it opens extra wide. I'm just waiting for one of my kids to let it loose and hit a car next to us. 5)turn signals on the mirror 6) Bluetooth audio sometimes doesn't link up and takes forever to change songs on the radio. I just change it on my phone. |

What is wrong with turn signals on the mirror?
Is there something I don't understand? |

Curious to see this one, too! They are positioned perfectly for the next lane approaching driver to see your intention.

This is actually a "hot topic" at our place. My wife uses them for everything. I try to use them when the information is useful, and not confusing, for other drivers. The biggest debate...changing lanes into, and then turning right from, a right turn only lane....use the signal (tap for 5 coded blinks) for the lane change, but once in the lane, with intervening driveways (usually a shopping center) before the red light/corner, I turn it off. The lane only permits turning, so nothing to signal that's informative, and if I did signal, it would look like I'm turning into one of the driveways before the corner. I've seen drivers pull OUT of the shopping center into my path when I had the signal on, and I didn't have a way to ask, but I think they thought I was turning into their driveway, not headed to the corner to turn right!

realistically if you have your turn signal on that should never indicate that i can jump out into the road. what if you're turning into the next drive? what if you thought that was your turn but change your mind? imo there's no excuse for the other driver to jump out, but for the sake of everybody driving home safely i understand your choice. |

I'm a 20-something, competent to advanced tech user who grew up playing around with GUI's and I think the Spotify menus and the iDrive menu navigation and structure in general are not the most intuitive. I'm stubborn and don't want to see if it can be improved by reading the manual; in my opinion a good design should not require that.

... just like the fact that the interior door handle so many complain about as being too far forward is also in just the right position for me, and I have no issues with its utility. In my mind, those who complain about the effort necessary to close the door with it haven't ever owned a pre-1990 American car or are simply used to four-door cars with lighter/smaller doors than a coupe's. Ours isn't that heavy. You shouldn't have to be able to close it with your d**k for it to pass muster. Man up, people.
