Yeah I am getting a bit of a discount. I just wish all this money would have gone to mods on my mini cooper instead of repairs on the 2 series

I hear ya brother. My SS was vandalized..so I have to replace taken items..and now my wife's Benz had her AMG grill work taken..and have to replace those. Not quite your bill total..(about $800 for me)..but still a 'waste' of money to put it back to how it was.

What was your estimated hp and torque before the failure?

On one of my last dynos I was able to get near the 350hp and 370tq range. After that I did run the car a few times with 110 octane race fuel, it pulled harder but never had a chance to dyno it with that fuel.

Knowing what I know now... I wouldn't push the car as far as I did by running race fuel and raising boost as high as I did.

What parts are you replacing? Are you replacing with aftermarket or em parts?

Good luck!

I'm replacing the pistons, piston rings, rod bearings, oil filter housing gasket, we are doing a transmission flush, putting the stock turbo back on, stock chargepipe, won't be running a tune anymore. The only I believe I'll be leaving on the car is the AR design c@tless dp, the injen intake and the muffler delete.

For the most part, going back to stock?

Yeah pretty much. I will be doing a few aesthetic mods as the car will be attending Sema again this year in November.

After all you've gone through?

You could've gone with forged parts and the 235 killer would be ready to be fearlessly pushed to the limit again. Unless you're planning on replacing the car soon

Correct. I won't be keeping the car for much longer once I get her back. I'm thinking I'll be fully parting out the car towards the end of the year.
