Ship with my M235i onboard docked in Port Elizabeth now. Survived the journey down the west coast of Africa, not much longer now.

My 220i is due very late this month (Sept) or more likely early October.
My MINI was 2 weeks from when it landed (I saw the boat bringing it into Port Philip!!) to delivery at the dealer - someone was asking about this timeframe. For the 2-series I stayed with the 220i - it's about Cooper S fast which is more than plenty for me. I've gone for all the handling options though, along with 18" wheels so that if I need to upgrade the brakes the 4-pot M brakes (accessory $3K) will fit. Oh, and a couple of options I wanted or needed were in expensive option packs even though they're available separately in Europe. Very excited - I've read through all the BMW technical section on their web site and watched the history of BMW video on YouTube Gotta do something while waiting! |

2015 220i
Hi guys. I placed my order a couple of months ago, but asked for a 2015 build. The dealer is planning to place the order on Friday 2 Jan for the car to be built 'as soon as possible'. We are expecting a March delivery, tho there's a possibility, if all the planets align, it could arrive in the February shipment.
So, I've ordered a 220i Sport, in deep sea blue, with the optional wheels (384 I think?). I'm also getting optioning it up a bit: - oyster leather - professional nav pack - visibility pack - comfort pack - sunroof - fineline stream trim (or is it fineline pure? - whatever the darker one is) - 'sport' badge delete The dealers, Rolfe in Canberra, have been sensational. Really sincere, knowledgable and accommodating. Would definitely recommend them, especially Nick. Anyway, can't wait for delivery. I notice most of you guys have the 235, which would have been great but was way outside the budget. However, I did have a drive of the 228, and was thinking of swapping the order, but would have had to forego most or all of the options I wanted, so kept the order for the 220. I have to say, it's got plenty of herbs for a base model. All the best |
