BMW Sydney's turnover on cars are by far the highest, they get the highest allocations out of all the dealers, they simply can do much better deals. Ok. I didn't get leather bags, pens, umbrellas, or a driving experience course. But I got my fully loaded M235i nearly 2 years ago for $81k, which at that time was by far the cheapest (now that's expensive lol), other dealers in Sydney were offering $87-90k, and a mate of mine works at another dealer, and even he told me to take the other deal, as there's no way they can match it. So overall I was happy.

Of course, overall experience of buying a car is important, but at the end of the day, people will always go for the best deal.
Wow... I always had exactly the opposite experience with BMW Sydney. Bought two cars from them. Never again. Agreed about their allocation, but they are of course factory owned. Allocation was the only reason I bought one of the two from them. I shopped them when buying the 2er, but got a far better deal from Woolongong. Their finance department will screw you if you deal with them on rate.
Finance rate is all about the person, you can shop around for finance and negotiate with BMW as well.

And for the car, I always try to buy as close to where I live as possible, and negotiated with several dealers and BMW sydney beat their price.

Anyways it's all personal experience and opinion. At the end of the day they're just dealers, and it's only money. The car you're getting always the most important thing

Either the dealers saying the M1/235i don't come with a free intensive driving course are telling fibs, or they've changed the policy. I received one with my m135i purchase in 2013 and it was a great day.

Just purchased a X3 for my wife, but not expecting a driving experience with that haha.

Yes, my mate has a 135 and got a course with that.

I have done level 1, and intend to hit them up for L2 once my 240 arrives...

Great minds think alike... What do you think of the X3? I have the 3L turbo diesel - a great car.

Was impressed by it! Ours is being delivered in March - would have loved the 30d but was out of what we wanted to spend and got a huge discount on a 20i with sports innovation pack, could hardly believe the price

My wife is very excited, upgrading from a golf!

I've had my X3 3.0d for nearly 3 years now. Had the E53 X5 3.0d before the X3.

Just to resurrect this thread...

My dealer tells me that the M240i is not eligible for the course. Of course, I will go direct to the managers in head office (thanks for the email links, BTW), but before I do, has anyone else with a M240 been offered the course, or fed the bullshit that it "is not eligible"?

Thanks

Not on the M240i, but definitely on the 235. Even BMW direct in Melbourne stated the same thing.

Success for me came from the contacts above
