VERY odd transmission issue

I have a 2015 228xi with an automatic transmission & I've been having a very odd issue, was wondering if anyone on here dealt with it or have an idea on what could be causing it. My car feels like it loses power/transmission slips when I turn my car to the right & right only. When I turn left & accelerate the car is normal & shifts smooth, when I drive straight the car is also normal & shifts very smooth through all gears. For some odd reason, when I accelerate with the wheel turned right (mind you, it doesn't happen every time either. Maybe 4/10 right turns) I get no power, it just revs & when I straighten the wheel after finishing the turn it jerks & gets its power back fully.

I never received any codes while it's happened, assuming because the duration of the turns/loss of power wasn't very long, but I was on a very long round-a-bout getting on the freeway yesterday night & while the wheel was turned right the entire time I had no power & the car finally threw a drive train malfunction error. I read the code with BimmerLink & it was an Electronic Transmission Control code:420431 "Gear ratio monitoring: clutch D implausible".

I've read that clutch D is referring to Drive, but does anyone know what can cause this, & why only when turning the wheel to the right?? I'm wondering if there is a disconnection of some sort when turning that direction causing this loss of power, maybe axle related or something? I'll definitely be taking it in for diagnostics but just wanted some insight on the possible causes.

I'd be more inclined to think the problem is in the front diff, or possibly the transfer case. How many miles on the car and have the diffs ever been serviced?

I was thinking possibly the diff as well. The car just hit 100k. I'm not sure if it was serviced by previous owner but I was planning on doing that along with a trans. fluid change & a few other things for hitting 100k. You're probably onto something though, I'll look into the diff & transfer case further & post if I find anything. Thanks for the input
