Harmon Kardon system upgrade?
In my 2017 M240i the HK system is very underwhelming. What are some options to upgrade? I don’t want to spend crazy amount of money so what’s my best bang for buck? Someone said Bavsound ghost 4 ohm subwoofers would help a lot, especially since it lacks so much base.

Really? Everyone told me to do the subs first. But to be honest I thought the highs and miss weren’t stellar either so I’ll look into it.

I have a F23 and HK is especially terrible on the verts. I was able to get it sounding good by upgrading the amp with a Matchup 8DSP amp, bavsound mids and tweets, bavsound 2ohm ghost subs and of course sound dampening materials on doors. I also tuned the system using a UMIK1 microphone.

I also replaced the rear speakers with JL components. And I replaced the factory amp with a Audiotec-Fisher amp. The company's amps are tunable via it's free software and a USB cable. |
