2016 M235i xDrive ~58k miles - Maryland
Like so many before me, I have recently started a family and it has come time to sell my beloved, albeit impractical, BMW M235 xDrive 2 door sports car. I followed this car all the way from Germany after I ordered it from the factory, and it arrived to me with 6 miles on the odometer. Since then, I have lovingly cared for Jules for the last 58k miles. The car is in excellent mechanical condition with everything working perfectly and a clean carfax. I have performed all scheduled maintenance and changed the oil every year at about every 7,000 miles (including a few months ago) with Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40. The exterior and interior are also in excellent condition, there are no dents or scratches and only a few minor chips on the front bumper, which is to be expected for an 8-year-old daily driven car. I ordered this car with the Cold Weather Package, Driver Assist Package, and the Technology Package (window sticker included in the pictures). I took great care for this car over the years, and I hope her new owner will appreciate it. I have added several performance and cosmetic modifications including the following: Performance (anything not installed will still be included and most of the original parts will be included) ◦ JB4 piggy back engine tune in aluminum case (N55 hadn’t been cracked for ECU tune when I purchased this, still works very well) ◦ Evolution Racewerks aluminum charge pipe ◦ Fabspeed sport cat downpipe (still passes MD obd2 emission inspection and no Check Engine Light) ◦ Stainless steel brake lines ◦ Vorshlag camber plates For OEM coilovers (not installed) ◦ Injen short ram intake (not installed) ◦ 17mm hex aluminum oil filter cap (makes it super easy to change oil) Cosmetic ◦ Carbon fiber spoiler ◦ Carbon fiber front lip ◦ Carbon fiber side mirror covers ◦ Carbon fiber steering wheel insert ◦ Blacked out front kidney grills ◦ Color matched side reflectors ◦ 1.25” Class 1 tow hitch (used for a bike rack and cargo basket, also installed a switch in the truck to disable the PDC noise when using the tow hitch) This car and the N55 engine has been very reliable over the years with only a few repairs and maintenance required: • Failed ground wire (covered under warranty, ~10k miles) • Replaced main media screen (covered under warranty, ~20k miles) • Replaced coolant overflow hose (~50k miles) • Replaced valve cover and gasket (~55k miles) • Replaced spark plugs (~58k miles) • Replaced brake fluid (~40k miles most recently) • Replaced Brakes with EBS Yellowstuff (~40k miles, OEM brakes with about 90% life remaining will also be included) I also installed a fully custom upgraded sound system using a MoBridge DA3 DSP. The DA3 is installed into the car’s fiber optic loop so all factory sound controls, buttons, and featured are retained. An Alpine PDX-F4 powers Morel Hybrid 402 in each of the doors. An Alpine PDX-M12 powers an Alpine 12” Type R subwoofer in a custom enclosure behind the wheel well. There is also a knob to quickly adjust the subwoofer gain in the cabin. The system was fully tuned with the DA3 DSP and it sounds great. All the original audio parts will also be included. Here is a link to my build log for this sound system. I have a set of staggered Michelin Pilot Super Sports for summer and square Bridgestone Blizzaks for winter. All tires have most of their tread left and they are mounted on separate sets of OEM wheels so its very easy to swap them out for each season. I also have a set of 17” Apex Arc-8 wheels (and required spacers) in their original boxes that I was going to mount racing tires to for a square setup, but I never got around to it. All wheels and tires will be included in the purchase but I am willing to part out the Apex wheels to someone on a first come first serve basis. This has been such an amazing car to own and is always a complete joy to drive, I will be very sad to see her go. Last edited by gtmax500; 06-01-2025 at 08:31 PM.. Reason: Added location to title |
