Suspension Upgrade

My shocks are blown so I want to get all 4 replaced. I have a 2017 f22 m240i xdrive.

Im not tracking the car, only spirited street driving.
Would like to keep the ride height the same or lower it by max 15-20mm.
I can handle a bit stiffer ride than oem but want it to be comfortable enough to reasonably daily.
trying not too spend too much but I want a quality set up.

Options i'm considering so far:
  • bilstein b4 w/ stock springs ~1.5k
  • bilstein b16 coilovers ~3k
  • ST X coilovers ~1.1k (+ edc delete)
  • Ohlins R&T ~3k (+ edc delete)

Any suggestions?

What about a set of Koni SAs? I have them with stock springs and really like them

I'd consider ST XA's for a bit more adjustability - you be surprised how much difference the manual rebound adjustment makes in ride comfort on my M240i. If you do go with lowering springs instead, make sure to get that supplementary handling kit with shorter bump stops.

The ST XTA is a great cost benefit I've been riding them for some time and they are quite okay for daily, if it was today I would strongly consider the KW V2 Comfort instead, buddy of mine runs them and it offers everything ST does plus comfort very close to stock.. also the finishing material is superior and they should last much longer specially for those driving on salty roads, probably not the case for OP because he is in cali.. it looks like these are available for the F22 M240 xdrive too https://tracktoolfactory.com/product...-bmw-1802000q/ maybe have a look at them as it falls in between the options mentioned but adds great value

Since you are budget-conscious and want stock like rid, just upgrade the dampers with B4.
