Any outdoor parkers use a car cover?

Any of you have experiences, thoughts or suggestions on 2 series car covers? Any particular cautions? Suggested brands?

Thanks much for your time in advance.

I’ve been using covers for o long time.
Probably on my fifth or sixth cover.

Using Evolution fabric now.

Covers on a dirty car can cause scratching. But a relatively clean car and proper cover install and removal can keep a car cool and preserve rubber and prevent plastic discoloration.

Some covers are more prone to wind wip off if the cover is very low weight, lose fitting and large.

Covercraft is a very good source. One thing with covers is they seem to be made to order so slight variation in fitting tightness may occur, though never a real issue. Biggest variable is how different fabrics feel, fold down and wear.

I use a Covercraft Evolution cover. It was custom made and fits like a glove. Completely covers the lower MPE splitter and the MPE diffuser at the rear. Has the mirror pockets as well as the sharkfin. I do agree the car should be relatively clean when you cover it. At least this cover has a really soft material inside and offers great protection.

Car just be clean before you cover it or you'll introduce scratching regardless of the inside of cover... Over time, on/off with dirt on underside of cover will do it's job (scratch).

I have Covercraft HP, and looks like the above pics, custom cut for the M240 and fits like glove. I usually have car clean, and slick, it's hard to even get cover on because it keeps sliding off, lol

Is good cover but not really good for winter as ice sucks, will get through (moisture) cover. But I didn't like the 3-5 layer covers either as they don't breathe. So it's a crapshoot! But, it's better to have a cover, than not IMO. Especially if you're not driving it all the time.

Wow. You can spend a lot on a car cover.

You can spend a lot on paint correction (from using or not using a cover), too!

Agreed. Seems worthwhile, but like so many things
, there's a wide range of options.

If you're using the cover for longish-term storage they can be helpful. Being outside, the cover will get dirty & wet & be one more thing to care for & store. Having it blowing around on the car can lead to paint problems. I use padded covers inside on the 2002tii & E46 ZHP, but would choose one of the lighter ones for outdoor daily use.

I've seen an alternative: a lightweight 'tent'-style cover made up of hoops and fabric, so it doesn't touch the car bodywork at all, and is easy to open/shut. It's more visually intrusive, but UK prices seem to range from $200-$700 depending on size and robustness.

I have a Noah car cover by Covercraft. The material is durable and breathable.
