Adaptive headlight malfunction, headlamp vertical aim control
2017 M240i Xdrive Coupe.
"Adaptive headlight malfunction Headlamp vertical aim Control" Anyone else ever have this?? Only codes are for the above. The vehicle was in a fender bender prior to my ownership, so the dealer can't say if it's covered by warranty until they disassemble. They also said usually this would be covered no problem. They want $1300 if not under warranty. Googling for the part shows a $50 sensor wondering if it could just be this? Are these things fixable or is it just and expensive replacement? I don't trust dealers. Suggestions? |

The rod connecting the sensor to the lower control arm is likely broken or disconnected (one on the front suspension, one on the rear). Usually caused by a person inexperienced with BMWs not disconnecting the rod before working on suspension components.
