I got the aFe exhaust for my 235 and the valve system isn't working properly. The valve is always open no matter what driving mode you're in. This exhaust uses the stock actuator so i don't know why this is happening. It will only close on a startup then will open about 30 seconds afterwards and won't close until the next start up. Is this normal or do i have a bad actuator?

Do you have a tune on your car? I know my BM3 tune settings can override the valve settings, if you so choose.

i have bootmod3 stage 1 on it. the only valve setting it has is for sport mode. i actually went back to the stock settings to see if it would work properly and still wasn't opening and closing when in different drive modes

i never understood the stock behavior vs bm3 comfort mode behavior.

what i can say is that even though i set bm3 to open always for sport mode, the valve doesnt actually open immediately when switching from comfort to sport.

at least yours is closed at some point. mine is always open

Possibly put the actuator on in the wrong position?
